Brewing connects exploration to progression in Hela: of Mice & Magic's announced full game. Ingredients gathered outside return to the witch's cottage, where recipes become hands-on activities.
Some brews help the world or improve your abilities. Magical tools called Remedies give you new ways to interact with it. Here is the announced loop, with Froggy alongside it.
Playing the demo? Brewing and Remedies are not included in that trial. See the demo feature guide.
Why you cannot brew in the demo
The official demo page lists Brewing and Remedies among the features reserved for the full game. Froggy, exploration and physics puzzles appear in the trial, but its self-contained story does not contain the brewing progression described below.
If you are trying the demo, a missing brewing system is therefore an announced content difference. This page explains the full-game design rather than a way to unlock brewing in the trial.
The brewing loop, step by step
- Explore forests, meadows and wetlands for ingredients and useful resources.
- Bring what you collect back to the witch's cottage.
- Use the recipe book to learn which ingredients and actions a brew needs.
- Complete that recipe's interactive sequence.
- Return to exploring with the abilities or tools your brewing makes available.
This is the overall loop described by official material. It is not an ingredient shopping list or a walkthrough for a particular recipe. Exact requirements belong to the recipe you are making.
Why collecting ingredients is only part of the job
The developer's brewing overview explains that recipes combine ingredients with a particular order of physical actions. Selecting an item from a menu is not the whole process.
The official FAQ also describes a magical recipe book and a series of interactive actions at the cottage. A useful first check is therefore to separate what the recipe asks you to supply from what it asks you to do. Follow the current recipe's instructions instead of assuming every brew uses an identical sequence.
What are Remedies used for?
Remedies are magical tools. The developers say they expand movement, environmental interaction, puzzle-solving and cooperation. Brewing also produces results that help people and creatures or improve your mouse's abilities.
The Microids overview connects these tools to discovering paths and approaching obstacles differently. As a practical exploration habit, remember places you could not reach and reconsider them when your options change. That is advice drawn from the published progression design, not a verified list of which Remedy opens which route.
Where the Froggy backpack fits
Froggy is your magical backpack companion. Official descriptions connect it to gathering resources, interacting with the environment and solving puzzles. They also show movement uses such as leaping, swinging and gliding.
The backpack helps you travel and collect, while brewing adds tools for further exploration. Keep both in mind when considering how to reach a place or interact with an obstacle. The controls for individual backpack actions and their detailed unlock conditions still need verification for the version and platform you play.
Before following a specific recipe guide
This page is based on public developer information reviewed before release, rather than hands-on testing. It does not provide ingredient ratios, farming routes, material coordinates or a complete Remedy catalogue.
For a future recipe walkthrough, check that its ingredient names, amounts and action order match the game version you are playing. A preview can explain the system without proving that every displayed requirement will remain unchanged at launch.
